A new Employment Permits Online System (EPOS) was officially launched by Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD, who is the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. This project promises a best in class international online platform to allow both employers and employees to apply for employment permits. In effect it provides an online process for both employees and employers to share the application process so as to shorten the process by which employment permits are obtained. What it means in practical terms is that the time from application to decision can take as little as five to seven working days.
